Instead of connecting exchange API keys, DeFi mode connects your own on-chain wallet. OwlGrid only ever stores your wallet address and chain — never a private key or seed phrase — and proposes or executes trades that your wallet signs.

Managed wallet option
For users who want automation without signing every transaction, a managed smart-account mode is available: a dedicated non-custodial wallet is created for your bot, and its private key is encrypted and never exposed in any API response.
